This year, Kylie Jenner was named the youngest self-made billionaire which stirred up a lot of controversies. However, as new people make the list, it also means that others lose their billionaire status as well. In 2019, the founders of Forever 21 lost their billionaire status after the famous fast-fashion company went bankrupt. This article explores the billionaires who made headlines this year. He founded the e-commerce giant, Amazon, out of a garage in Seattle. The company started out as a bookseller and eventually branched out into the sale of other products. Today, the company has its own streaming service and the Amazon Echo which uses artificial intelligence. Bezos has a net worth of 131B and has a 16 percent stake in Amazon. He filed for divorce from his long-time partner, Mackenzie Bezos and gave her a 4 percent stake in Amazon.
